DigiPlus reports lower Q2 GGR but higher earnings and EBITDA

GGR fell 9 per cent quarter-on-quarter to US$273.7m, while core net income reached US$41.2m.

The Philippines.- DigiPlus Interactive has reported a 9 per cent quarter-on-quarter decline in gross gaming revenue (GGR) to PHP15.61bn (US$273.7m) in the second quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, net income was PHP6.98bn (US$122.4m), up 124 per cent, primarily due to a fair value gain from its investment in International Entertainment Corporation’s (IEC) convertible notes. Excluding this non-operating gain, core net income was PHP2.35bn (US$41.2m), an 8 per cent increase from the previous quarter.

EBITDA rose 7 per cent quarter-on-quarter to PHP2.84bn (US$49.8m), while the EBITDA margin improved to 18.2 per cent, compared with 15.3 per cent in the first quarter. The company cited disciplined cost management and greater operating efficiency.

User activity continued to rise with aggregate monthly active users (MAU) averaging 5.75 million. Monthly average bettors and depositors (MABD) increased 26 per cent quarter-on-quarter to 4.68 million.

Net gaming revenue (NGR) after tax increased 0.9 per cent to PHP5.52bn (US$96.8m), with the margin reaching 35 per cent. The company said the result reflects improved returns on advertising and promotional spending, as well as lower tax costs following the IEC transaction.

Ping Chen, DigiPlus’s president, said: “As our business evolves, we believe the MAU base and the MABD growth reflects the market share of our platforms, our strength in product development, and the overall quality of our Gaming-as-a-Service strategy. Our net gaming revenue after tax is the key metric we use to assess the performance of our operations as it captures not just the growth and scale of our user base, but also measures the efficiency and the return on capital spend.

“The growing user base, improved cohort, as well as higher returns on capital will contribute to significantly higher GGR and NGR, as well as significantly higher profitability in the next quarters to come.”

Looking ahead, Chen said that DigiPlus is evolving beyond a traditional online gaming operator into a Gaming-as-a-Service ecosystem focusing on proprietary content, data-driven personalisation and continuous product innovation. “This evolution strengthens our ability to deliver higher-quality earnings, deepen customer lifetime value, and create long-term value for our shareholders,” he said.
