Delta Corp returns to profit after reopening of Goa’s casinos
The Indian gaming company reported profit of Rs1.28 crore (US$176,000) for Q4.
India.- Delta Corp has reported a profit of Rs1.28 crore (US$176,000) for the last quarter of 2020. That’s a fall of 97.7 per cent year-on-year but marks a return to profit after a loss of Rs54.91 crore (US$7.6m) in the prior quarter.
Goa’s casinos, which were closed on March 14 last year, reopened in November at 50 per cent capacity, allowing Delta Corp to record land-based gaming revenue for the first time since Q1.
Revenue for Q4 reached Rs97.51 crore (US$13.4m), down 50 per cent year-on-year.
Delta Corp recently announced plans to build an integrated resort in Pernem, Goa.
