Crown Melbourne revises gaming restrictions
The casino will resume table games and increase its capacity limit to 1,000.
Australia.- Crown Melbourne has received revised conditions from the Victoria state government for operating in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The casino resumed limited operations on November 12 with a capacity limit and time limit, with players only allowed to use facilities for 90 minutes a day. VIP areas could host up to ten people and every second gaming machine has to be turned off.
Under revised restrictions to begin from Wednesday (November 25), the casino will now be able to resume table games and increase capacity to 1,000, with a cap of 150 in each indoor space or one person per four square metres.
Physical distancing rules and enhanced hygiene protocols still apply and a Covid-19 marshal must be present at all times.
Meanwhile, the Crown Metropol Melbourne hotel is expected to reopen on December 1.
