City of Dreams hotel to reopen after on March 31 revamp

The Nüwa hotel at the casino resort complex in Macau will reopen its doors on March 31 after more than a year of refurbishment.

Macau.- Melco Resorts and Entertainment’s revamped Nüwa at the City of Dreams complex in Macau will reopen on March 31. Bookings are being taken for stays from April 2.

The revamped hotel has around 300 accommodations units, including 33 luxury villas.

The renovation at Nüwa started in early 2020 and had previously been scheduled to reopen on February 8, just before the Chinese New Year holiday period. Melco Resorts postponed the reopening, without providing a reason.

Tourism in Macau was heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic but the head of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) hopes a vaccine passport could “give everyone confidence and revive tourism.”
