Authorities in Phnom Penh carried out a raid on two sites in Sangkat Phsar Thmey I.

Cambodia.- Police in Phnom Penh have raided two sites at Sangkat Phsar Thmey I and made 17 arrests in relation to alleged online gambling. Police received reports from residents about illegal gambling establishments. 

A week ago, a similar raid was carried out in Phsar Prom Cheung Village, in Stung Kach Commune, Sala Krao District, Pailin. Officers confiscated five monitors, 10 CPUs and other materials that were allegedly smuggled into the country and used in the operation of illegal online gambling businesses.

The Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia has ordered the blocking of 15 internet sites for offering illegal lotteries. Most of the websites that offered illegal gambling were operating from Vietnam.
