The ACMA has requested Australian internet service providers block 14 more sites.

Australia.- The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has told Australian internet service providers (ISPs) to block 14 more offshore gambling websites. According to the ACMA, the websites were operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

The sites to be blocked are:

  • Golden Lady Casino
  • Casino4u
  • Spin Samurai
  • Axe Casino
  • Lucky Dreams
  • Comet Room
  • Paradiso Room
  • No Deposit Friend
  • No Deposit Bonus Blog
  • Casino-On-Line
  • Online Casino Australian
  • Casino Shortlist
  • Australia Casino
  • Aus Casinos

Since the ACMA made its first blocking request in November 2019, 375 illegal gambling websites have been blocked. In November, the regulator requested local internet services providers block two illegal offshore lottery websites. The two sites were the first lottery sites blocked in Australia.

According to Fiona Cameron, a member of ACMA, investigations revealed the websites offered tickets for major overseas online lotteries and were not licenced in Australia, which is prohibited under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The two sites are We Love Lotto and Red Fox Lotto.

Since 2017, the ACMA pulled out of the Australian market over 150 illegal services. In October, it added five offshore gaming websites to its list of blocked sites: Spin Bit, Fight Club, Kim Vegas, Queenspins and Yoju Casino.
