Asia Pioneer Entertainment expects H1 profit increase on EGE growth
The profit alert comes as APE expands into playing card manufacturing and cash conversion technology solutions.
Macau.- Asia Pioneer Entertainment (APE) has forecast first-half profit of up to HK$2.4m (US$305,909) after higher demand for electronic gaming equipment lifted its revenue by almost half year-on-year. In a positive profit alert issued on August 7, the Macau-based gaming equipment supplier said revenue for the six months ended June 30 is estimated at about HK$34m (US$4.33m), compared with HK$23m (US$2.93m) in the corresponding period of 2025.
The company expects profit and total comprehensive income for the first half to be between HK$2.2m (US$280,416) and HK$2.4m (US$305,909), compared with HK$24,959 (US$3,181) a year earlier. At the lower end of the forecast, this represents an increase of more than 88 times.
The 47.3 per cent increase was primarily driven by stronger customer demand for electronic gaming equipment (EGE). Revenue from APE’s technical sales and distribution of EGE rose 56.2 per cent year-on-year during the period.
The group also expanded its operations beyond its established EGE business during the period, launching BEE MACAU, a professional-grade playing card manufacturing business and introducing cash conversion technology solutions. It said these newer operations were still at an early stage and had not contributed directly to revenue during the first half of the year.
The company said it will publish its interim results for the six months by the end of August.
