AGEM Index climbs 3.6% in May
Seven of the nine companies tracked by the index saw share price gains during the month.
Asia.- The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Index rose by 54.38 points month-on-month to 1,578.22 in May 2026. The result represents a 3.6 per cent increase compared with April, although the index remained down 9.4 per cent, or 162.96 points, from May 2025.
Seven of the nine companies included in the index saw stock price increases during the month, resulting in six positive contributions and three negative contributions to the AGEM Index.

The largest positive contributor was Aristocrat Leisure Limited, whose share price increased by 6.0 per cent, adding 37.65 points to the index. Agilysys stock rose 35.1 per cent, contributing 26.28 points.
The largest negative contributor was Konami Corp. Although its share price edged up 0.2 per cent during the month, the weakening of the Japanese yen resulted in a 6.56-point decline in its contribution to the AGEM Index.

US equity markets also saw gains in May. The NASDAQ increased by 8.4 per cent compared with the previous month, while the S&P 500 rose 5.1 per cent. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a 2.8 per cent increase.
