A-League set to resume under quarantine
New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland being considered as possible locations to play out the rest of the season.
Australia.- Australia’s A-League is set to resume its football season at a specific hub in New South Wales (NSW) Victoria or Queensland.
The hub will be where the remaining games of the 2019/20 season will be played, in a tournament-style format.
The plan would mean that players and staff from all 11 A-League clubs would be based in the same location until the season was completed.
“Queensland is one of several states under consideration to serve as the location for the remainder of the A-League 2019-20 season,” an FFA (Football Federation Australia) spokesperson said.
The A-League has been suspended in Australia since March 23 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the K League in South Korea has experienced a record-high number of global viewers since its restart last week.
