ASA scolds Coral Interactive

The UK Advertising Standards Authority has filed two complaints against Coral Interactive regarding two separate promotions for free bets.

UK.- The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has filed two complaints against Coral Interactive in connection to two separate promotions for free bets sent out in June, with the aim of  capitalising on Euro 2016.

In response to both complaints, Coral Interactive acknowledged an error in not including enough information concerning these promotions and apologised to the affected customers.

The UK Advertising Standards Authority upheld the complaints, welcoming “Coral Interactive’s willingness to ensure that future time-sensitive promotions included all significant conditions.”

In both of these two cases, the ASA said that the ads must not appear again in their current forms, informing Coral Interactive that it must ensure future promotional advertising does not “misleadingly imply that an offer was open to everyone”, and that it must make clear the “significant conditions” of its promotions.
