Arkansas casino tax revenue up 5.4% in 2025

The state’s three casinos generated $116m in tax revenue.

US.- Arkansas’s casino tax revenue was $116m in 2025, according to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA). That’s an increase of 5.4 per cent in year-on-year terms. Authorities attributed the growth to improved performance across all three of the state’s licensed properties.

Southland Casino in West Memphis remained the largest contributor, generating $58.4m in tax revenue. That’s an increase of 1.9 per cent year-on-year. March was the property’s strongest month, generating $6.3m in tax revenue.

Saracen Casino in Pine Bluff saw the highest tax growth among the three operators. The property generated $30.4m in tax revenue, up 12.7 per cent year-on-year. Its strongest performance was in May, when it contributed $3.9m.

Oaklawn Hot Springs generated $27.2m in tax revenue, up 5.5 per cent when compared to the previous year. The venue made its highest monthly contribution in May ($3.2m).

The state also saw a rise in sports betting activity. The total wagering handle for 2025 was $655m, an increase of nearly 18 per cent in year-on-year terms.

Casino gaming revenue in Arkansas is taxed at 13 per cent on the first $150m of net gaming revenue and 20 per cent on revenue exceeding that threshold.
