Andres Troelsen, EGT Digital: “Latin America is a strategic priority and a key driver of expansion”
Andres Troelsen, Regional Sales Director LatAm at EGT Digital, has shared how the company is preparing for SBC Summit Rio.
Exclusive interview.- Ahead of SBC Summit Rio, Andres Troelsen, regional sales director LatAm at EGT Digital, spoke with Focus Gaming News about what Latin America represents to the company. He discussed its main objectives and challenges.
In an exclusive interview, he also shared how the company is preparing for the expo and what products they are planning to present.
How is EGT Digital preparing for SBC Summit Rio? What does it mean for the company to attend a gaming event in Latin America?
EGT Digital is approaching SBC Summit Rio with a strong focus on reinforcing its position in Brazil and expanding its footprint across LatAm.
Operators certified by LOTERJ are already using our products, as our platform meets the regulatory standards required within the Rio de Janeiro framework. This reflects our commitment to aligning with local compliance requirements and supporting regulated operations.
SBC Summit Rio is an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing partners, engage with new operators, and showcase the flexibility and scalability of our complete igaming ecosystem.
For us, LatAm represents a strategic growth region, and we are committed to deepening our presence and building lasting partnerships across the market.
What will EGT Digital showcase at the event? Are you planning to present any innovation?
At SBC Summit Rio, EGT Digital will highlight one of our most warmly received titles – Panda Ventura. The game has been very well accepted by players, and we’re seeing strong engagement thanks to its charming personality and distinctive visual style. The panda character is instantly lovable – it creates an emotional connection and gives the game a friendly, inviting feel.
What truly drives its performance, however, is the mechanics and overall game flow. Panda Ventura is easy to understand from the first spin, yet it builds excitement in a very natural way through well-timed features and rewarding peak moments. The experience feels smooth and intuitive – players stay engaged because the pacing is clear and satisfying.
The success of Panda Ventura has been so strong that we are now expanding it into a broader concept. We will soon launch Tiger Ventura, marking the beginning of a new Ventura series – building on the same engaging flow and recognisable character-driven identity that players have already embraced.
We see strong potential for the title to continue growing its audience in Latin America, supported by its approachable gameplay and engaging flow. For us, showcasing Panda Ventura in Rio is about presenting a game that combines charm, smart execution, and real commercial potential – and introduces the next step in an expanding Ventura universe.

Which key topics do you think will dominate the conversations at the expo this year?
This year, the spotlight will very clearly be on Latin America – and especially Brazil.
The region is undergoing a significant transformation, so regulation will be one of the central themes. Operators and suppliers are closely following developments at both the federal and state levels, discussing compliance, licensing processes, and how to build sustainable operations within the new framework.
AI will also dominate conversations – as it does at almost every major industry event globally. The focus is increasingly on practical applications, such as personalisation, operational efficiency, and smarter data usage. It’s a topic that naturally enters almost every strategic discussion today.
Beyond that, I expect strong emphasis on long-term positioning in LatAm. As the region becomes more structured and competitive, the conversation is shifting towards strong partnerships, localised strategies, and building stable, compliant businesses that can grow over time.
Overall, SBC Summit Rio will reflect a region that is rapidly evolving and attracting serious, long-term attention from the global industry.
How was EGT Digital’s experience at ICE Barcelona? What feedback did EGT Lounge, the company’s new hybrid gaming product, receive from visitors?
EGT Digital had a very strong and productive presence at ICE Barcelona, with a clear focus on strengthening partnerships and presenting its broader ecosystem approach.
The overall experience was extremely positive. The event allowed the team to meet with a wide range of operators and partners from different markets, reinforcing existing collaborations while opening doors to new strategic discussions. One of the key takeaways was the growing demand for flexible, integrated solutions rather than standalone products – something that aligns very well with EGT Digital’s direction.
A major highlight was EGT Lounge, the company’s new hybrid gaming concept. The product attracted significant attention from visitors, particularly because of its ability to bridge different verticals in a seamless way. Feedback was largely centred around its flexibility, adaptability to various markets, and the way it combines multiple gaming experiences within one cohesive environment.
Visitors appreciated the concept’s versatility and its potential to enhance both player engagement and operator performance. The strong interest confirmed that hybrid solutions are gaining traction, especially among operators looking for differentiated offerings and more dynamic player environments.
Overall, ICE Barcelona reinforced EGT Digital’s strategy of combining strong content, advanced platform capabilities, and hybrid innovation – positioning the company for continued expansion across key markets, including LatAm.

What are EGT Digital’s main objectives and challenges in the Latin American market for 2026?
For EGT Digital, Latin America is a strategic priority and a key driver of expansion.
Following the strong momentum highlighted after ICE Barcelona, our strategy in LatAm is centred on three main pillars – strengthening partnerships, expanding our integrated ecosystem, and adapting flexibly to regulated market environments.
We are focused on deepening relationships with local operators, not just entering markets but building sustainable collaborations. At the same time, we continue to expand the reach of our full solution – combining rich gaming content, advanced platform capabilities, and hybrid concepts such as EGT Lounge, which attracted strong interest for its flexibility and multi-vertical potential.
For 2026, our main objectives in Latin America are clear: consolidate our presence in newly regulated markets, scale responsibly, and further localise our offering to meet regional expectations. Brazil will naturally remain a central focus, but we are also monitoring opportunities across other regulated and soon-to-be-regulated jurisdictions in the region.
The biggest challenges are linked to regulatory evolution and market competitiveness. LatAm is developing rapidly, and frameworks are still taking shape in several jurisdictions. This requires agility, strong compliance processes, and long-term commitment. At the same time, competition is intensifying, which means differentiation through innovation, reliability, and a partnership approach becomes even more important.
Overall, our ambition is not just expansion for the sake of presence, but sustainable growth built on strong alliances, regulatory readiness, and a diversified, future-ready product portfolio.
