The Gambia.- Betting operator Zaxbet has backed a new grassroots football initiative in The Gambia, sponsoring the Youth League Project 2026, a programme aimed at creating opportunities for young footballers across the country.
The initiative, which launched at QCity on March 12, provides a structured competitive platform for youth teams to showcase their talent while creating pathways into professional football. Several teams took part in the opening matches as part of broader efforts to strengthen grassroots football and develop emerging players in The Gambia.
Zaxbet CEO Jack Caba said the company supported the initiative as part of its commitment to youth development through sport. “The idea is to promote football and sports and to ensure that these youth are well supported in their growth and careers,” Caba said.
