LONACI\u2019s support for grassroots and women\u2019s sport strengthens talent development and opens new opportunities for young athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.- The National Lottery of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire (LONACI)<\/strong> has awarded CFA48m (\u20ac73,000)<\/strong> in grants to twelve local sports clubs<\/strong>, enhancing football, handball and athletics programs nationwide<\/strong>. This initiative underscores LONACI\u2019s ongoing commitment to supporting young athletes and community sports development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grants were presented during a ceremony at LONACI\u2019s headquarters in Abidjan on October 1. The 12 clubs include ten football teams<\/strong>, one handball club and one athletics club. Women\u2019s sports<\/strong> received special support: Habitat Handball Club d\u2019Abobo, Victory FC and the women\u2019s section of Athletic Club Antilope each received CFA4m (\u20ac6,083), <\/strong>totalling CFA12m (\u20ac18,250). The remaining CFA36m (\u20ac54,750) was divided among nine regional<\/strong> football clubs, with each receiving CFA4m (\u20ac6,083).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing LONACI\u2019s CEO, Marketing and Customer Experience Director Check Oumar Diarra <\/strong>highlighted the vital role grassroots clubs play in shaping the future of sport<\/strong> in the country. \u201cWhat would our national teams be without this in-depth work, often carried out in difficult conditions?\u201d he said, according to Abidjan.net.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boosting grassroots and women\u2019s programs<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Diarra acknowledged that the grant serves as a significant encouragement<\/strong> for continued effort. \u201cIf your clubs are successful, our sport will be too, and our athletes will be able to bring us laurels on the international stage<\/strong>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LONACI\u2019s support also reflects a growing focus on women\u2019s programs<\/strong>. \u201cThis development stems from our vision of a civic-minded LONACI, fully committed to the development of sport in all its forms,\u201d Diarra added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blaise Kouakou<\/strong>, President of the Yamoussoukro Sports Clubs Association, welcomed the grant. \u201cReceiving this financial support<\/strong> is a mark of confidence, an encouragement to persevere and offer a better future to our young people. This gesture reminds us that we are not alone in our efforts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kouakou added that the grant will allow clubs to compete with more confidence and provide young athletes with improved conditions<\/strong> to develop and succeed. The move demonstrates LONACI\u2019s long-term commitment to sports in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, combining financial support with a vision for nurturing the next generation of athletes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
