Kampala hosts the inaugural University Esports Championships, uniting students nationwide to compete in major esports titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Uganda.- Uganda\u2019s esports scene<\/strong> is levelling up as students from universities across the country converged in Kampala for the nation\u2019s first University Esports Championships<\/strong>. Held on September 27 to 28 at the International University Hostel, the event put a spotlight on the next generation of gaming talent,<\/strong> transforming the city into a hub of strategy, skill and competitive energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship drew players from institutions nationwide<\/strong> to compete in popular esports titles<\/strong>, including Tekken 8, Motor Combat, FIFA, Valorant and PUBG Mobile, creating an electric atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Uganda Esports and Gaming Federation (UEGF)<\/strong>, the national governing body for esports responsible for developing, promoting and regulating competitive gaming, said: \u201cThis championship is a game-changer for esports in Uganda. It\u2019s about giving young gamers<\/strong> a platform<\/strong> to shine, compete fairly and show the world the talent brewing in our universities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
