Mali.- Pari Mutuel Urbain Mali<\/strong> (PMU-Mali), the country\u2019s state-backed betting operator<\/strong>, launched its 31st anniversary celebrations, announcing a special CFA100m (\u20ac152,000)<\/strong> prize pool for loyal customers, aimed at thanking them for their continued support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recent event, held at PMU-Mali\u2019s headquarters, was attended by directors, company partners and staff. Managing Director Fassery Doumbia<\/strong> said the milestone reflected the operator\u2019s strong financial position<\/strong> and stressed that staff should share in its future success, urging teams to keep driving growth<\/strong>. \u201cToday, PMU-Mali is doing very well, and employees should benefit from the company’s performance,\u201d he added, according to Malijet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PMU-Mali announced a CFA100m prize pool for loyal customers<\/strong>, aimed at thanking them for their continued support. The ceremony also featured a symbolic cake-cutting and tributes highlighting the company\u2019s growth over three decades<\/strong>, underscoring PMU-Mali\u2019s place as a major player in Mali\u2019s leisure and gambling industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its anniversary program, PMU-Mali reaffirmed its corporate social responsibility<\/strong> commitments, donating to Mali\u2019s national military police and to the Higher School of Journalism and Communication Sciences to support security and education initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1994, PMU-Mali has grown into a central player in Mali\u2019s gambling industry and a contributor to the national economy<\/strong>. It operates as a mixed-economy public limited company (SAEM), with the Malian state<\/strong> holding a 75 per cent stake and private shareholders<\/strong> the remaining 25 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PMU-Mali was created under a French Pari Mutuel Urbain initiative to establish horse racing betting <\/strong>networks across Africa, with technical support from its French counterpart. The operator expanded further in 2003 when it merged with Mali\u2019s national lottery, Lonama-SA<\/strong>, consolidating the country\u2019s major gambling activities under one entity.<\/p>\n\n\n
