A continent-wide conference series will unify standards, strengthen consumer protection and promote responsible gambling across African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Kenya.- Africa\u2019s gambling industry is set for a more unified future as the International Gambling Standards Summit<\/strong> has partnered with the Association of Gaming Regulators in Africa (AGRA)<\/strong> to launch a series of conferences<\/strong> aimed at harmonising gambling standards<\/strong> across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summit is recognised globally as a premier forum for advancing industry standards<\/strong>, while AGRA unites gambling regulatory agencies from across Africa to promote cooperation and effective oversight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first conference<\/strong> will take place from February 10 to 13, 2026, in Nairobi, Kenya<\/strong>, bringing together regulators, industry leaders and standards bodies to review and refine draft standards. The sessions are expected to spark high-level discussions and practical feedback, laying the groundwork for a consistent approach<\/strong> to gambling regulation across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A joint press statement said: \u201cThis collaboration marks a significant milestone<\/strong> in the development of unified gambling standards that will enhance consumer protection<\/strong>, promote responsible gambling and foster a stable and predictable<\/strong> business environment for gambling operators.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unification drive expands to Southern and West Africa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To ensure inclusivity<\/strong>, two additional regional events are already scheduled. Southern Africa<\/strong> will host its conference from March 16 to 19, 2027, followed by West Africa<\/strong> from March 7 to 10, 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement added: \u201cBy advancing harmonisation, the International Gambling Standards Summit and the Association of Gaming Regulators in Africa reaffirm their commitment to establishing a unified regulatory framework that supports sustainable industry growth<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
