Angola, South Africa, Nigeria and Morocco are leading the trend by integrating lottery services into everyday <strong>shopping locations<\/strong>, expanding access for citizens nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> National Lottery of Angola<\/strong> (Lotaria Nacional de Angola) has joined forces with <strong>Kibabo<\/strong>, one of the country\u2019s biggest <strong>supermarket chains<\/strong>. This collaboration allows residents to purchase tickets and access lottery information directly at the supermarket, combining daily shopping with lottery participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the National Lottery Association\u2019s website, \u201cthe partnership enables Angolans to participate in draws and <strong>purchase tickets<\/strong> at locations where they already shop for everyday needs\u201d. The organisation has upgraded its<strong> infrastructure<\/strong> to ensure players across Angola can easily and securely purchase tickets at any location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"230\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/09\/LOTTERY-SA-222-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8535\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>South Africa\u2019s lottery operator, <strong>ITHUBA Holdings<\/strong>, operates more than <strong>9,000 retail terminals<\/strong>, making tickets widely available across supermarkets, <strong>convenience stores<\/strong> and other outlets. In 2025, ITHUBA upgraded its core technology platform, improving the efficiency of its retail operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ITHUBA said: \u201cWe extend our sincere appreciation to our National Lottery partners, retailers and<strong> technical vendors<\/strong>, whose support has been critical in allowing South Africans to continue enjoying their favourite lottery games during this significant transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Retail partnerships drive lottery growth across Africa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Nigeria<\/strong>, national lottery operators N1 Interactive Africa Limited and Starlight Ace Verde Gaming Ltd are each partnering with local retail stores to expand ticket distribution and reach more customers. In 2025, both companies are actively growing their retail networks, combining physical outlets with online platforms to enhance accessibility and <strong>customer engagement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Morocco<\/strong>, INTRALOT Maroc, in partnership with La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS), continues to distribute lottery games such as Tifo and Chrono through an <strong>optimised network<\/strong> of retail outlets, including supermarkets, convenience stores and other authorised points of sale. The network uses existing technology infrastructures and adheres to<strong> international standards<\/strong>, ensuring secure and efficient ticket sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However not all African countries have adopted this model. Retail partnerships are mainly concentrated in nations with <strong>regulated national lotteries<\/strong> and sufficient <strong>technological infrastructure<\/strong> to ensure secure transactions.
