Players from across Africa will compete for national pride in Riyadh as the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) brings the continent to the global esports stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Egypt.- The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) <\/strong>has unveiled the Esports Nations Cup (ENC)<\/strong>, a groundbreaking tournament where players from Africa<\/strong> and beyond will compete representing their nations instead of their clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made at the recent New Global Sport Conference<\/strong>, which confirmed that the ENC is set to debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November 2026. It will be the first major national-team esports tournament<\/strong> designed to occur regularly, bringing national pride to the global stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural event will be co-developed with leading game publishers<\/strong> such as Electronic Arts (FIFA), Krafton (PUBG: Battlegrounds), Tencent (League of Legends) and Ubisoft (Assassin\u2019s Creed), with titles from these publishers expected to feature in the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National teams<\/strong> from all major regions<\/strong>, including Africa, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Southeast Asia and Oceania will compete across team-based and solo-player formats. African teams<\/strong> expected to compete include Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Ghana, Tunisia, Uganda and Botswana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ENC will debut in Riyadh before adopting a rotating host model<\/strong>, bringing national esports teams closer to fans and cultures worldwide.
