Tanzania.- Betika<\/strong> is making a major move for regional football, injecting $325,000 (KSh42m)<\/strong> into the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Kagame Cup 2025\/26 as the tournament\u2019s official sponsor<\/strong>. The investment is set to benefit clubs and fans across 12 countries<\/strong>, boosting competition, fan engagement and the overall profile of football in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The CECAFA Kagame Cup<\/strong> unites teams from Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zanzibar, and will take place in Tanzania<\/strong> from September 2 to 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The sponsorship was unveiled on August 28 at the Pan Pacific Suites in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a new chapter<\/strong> for East and Central African football. Betika\u2019s Group CEO, Mutua Mutava, confirmed the major deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cToday, we announce a landmark sponsorship<\/strong> of 42 million Kenya shillings for the CECAFA Kagame Cup, cementing Betika\u2019s place as official sponsor of this prestigious tournament for the 2025\/2026 season,\u201d said Mutava, according to the CECAFA website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reflecting on the deal, he added: “This is not just a sponsorship. It is a statement of belief in the power of football to unite, inspire and transform communities<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The deal gives Betika premium exposure<\/strong> across CECAFA platforms, including in-stadium branding and digital campaigns designed to engage millions of fans across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CECAFA Vice President Paulos Andemariam<\/strong>, who signed the agreement alongside Mutava, also welcomed the sponsorship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said: \u201cWe are pleased to enter a partnership with Betika.
