(ITA), part of the Paratus Group, and was celebrated with the opening of a state-of-the-art <strong>OneWeb teleport facility<\/strong> in the capital, Luanda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility positions Angola as a regional hub for high-speed LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite internet, enabling<strong> reliable connections<\/strong> even in previously underserved regions and opening doors for gaming, online betting and digital businesses alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/08\/FRANCISCO.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7094\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Francisco Pinto Leite highlights Angola\u2019s high-speed satellite internet, expanding digital access nationwide.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The teleport acts as a bridge between satellites and end users, enabling seamless connectivity. <strong>Francisco Pinto Leite<\/strong>, General Director of ITA, said: \u201cWith the Eutelsat OneWeb service, we are breaking down geographical barriers and allowing the potential of Angolan companies to flourish to the full.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paratus Group CEO <strong>Schalk Erasmus<\/strong> added: \u201cThis is a game-changer for Angola and for our clients in the region because they will now have reliable, quality connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Already booming gaming sector hits \u20ac12.8m<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Angola\u2019s gaming and online gambling industry is already experiencing strong growth. Tax revenues hit <strong>Kz13.23bn (\u20ac12.8\u202fm)<\/strong> in the first half of 2025, a <strong>64 per cent <\/strong>increase<strong> <\/strong>compared to the same period in 2024. With the introduction of LEO satellite internet, this growth could accelerate further as connectivity reaches more players across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For gamers, multiplayer titles, live esports and online gambling platforms are no longer restricted to cities. Players in towns and rural areas can now join <strong>global communities<\/strong>, while online platforms can explore new features and interactive experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the technology also supports industries like oil, gas, mining and banking, its impact on the gaming world is <strong>immediate<\/strong>.
