Tanzania.- Sports betting operator SportPesa<\/strong> has extended its sponsorship deal with Tanzania\u2019s Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga SC)<\/strong>. Valued at TZS 21.75 billion<\/strong> (\u20ac7.1m), the new agreement is slated to last three years<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the terms of the agreement, SportPesa will continue to be the official betting sponsor of Yanga SC, building on an existing eight-year partnership<\/strong> between the two entities. The deal underscores SportPesa\u2019s strategy to amplify its reach and engagement with local fans while leveraging the popularity of Yanga SC to drive brand loyalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Doreen Kwayu<\/strong>, Head of Operations at SportPesa Tanzania, said: \u201cThis is another incredible moment in the Yanga SC and SportPesa journey. As we look towards the future and the 2025\/26 Premier League championship, we are delighted to be standing alongside Yanga SC once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSupporting every level of football, from elite teams through to grassroots, is a huge part of what we do at SportPesa, and we look forward to continuing to work with the Young Africans Sports Club to support all of their teams.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Yanga SC, the financial injection empowers it to focus on player development, make facility upgrades and compete effectively in CAF Champions League <\/strong>campaigns. The funding also covers the club\u2019s women\u2019s team and grassroots football programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new sponsorship deal comes hot on the heels of SportPesa’s payment of TZS 262.5 million <\/strong>(\u20ac86,000) to Yanga SC for clinching the 2024\/25 Premier League<\/strong> title. The win makes it their 31st Premier League championship<\/strong>, cementing the club\u2019s position as one of the most successful in Tanzanian football history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tarimba Abbas<\/strong>, SportPesa Tanzania\u2019s Director of Administration and Compliance, said: \u201cOur partnership with Yanga is a bond built on shared goals and a love for the game. The agreement aligns with SportPesa\u2019s aim to boost its visibility and acceptance across African markets, evident in its recent ten-year sponsorship<\/a> of Kenya\u2019s FKF Premier League<\/strong> and a Ksh 15 million donation<\/a> to the SportPesa National Sevens Circuit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
