The sports betting giant recently renewed its partnership with the<strong> Ghana Football Association (GFA)<\/strong>, with plans to improve player welfare and energise football across all the country\u2019s leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony took place on August 8, in Accra where GFA officials, betPawa reps and club managers gathered to mark the <strong>renewal of this partnership<\/strong>, which first began in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>betPawa&#8217;s Head of local marketing and CSR, <strong>Borah Ndanyunga,<\/strong> said: \u201cWhether on match days or at the end of the season, male and female players will be given equal Locker Room Bonus support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"655\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/08\/BORAH-655x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/08\/BORAH-655x600.jpg 655w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/08\/BORAH.jpg 1584w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 655px) 100vw, 655px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">betPawa\u2019s Borah Ndanyunga champions equal bonuses for Ghana\u2019s men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of the refreshed deal is the expansion of the Locker Room Bonus program, which provides an on-the-spot <strong>financial reward<\/strong> for players after every league win, to women\u2019s teams. Since October 2022, the initiative has rewarded players with <strong>GH\u20b5400 (\u20ac36)<\/strong> after every league win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a 20-player squad, that totals <strong>GH\u20b58,000 (\u20ac720)<\/strong> in bonuses for each victory. This brings a notable financial lift and a morale boost applied equally to both male and female players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This time, the partnership extends its reach beyond the Ghana Premier League to include the Malta <strong>Guinness Women\u2019s Premier League<\/strong>, Ghana\u2019s top women\u2019s league, boosting the growing women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>betPawa emphasised the company\u2019s dedication to recognising all athletes\u2019 hard work and said this sends a clear message about <strong>fairness and equality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GFA President, Kurt Okraku, said: \u201cHappy athletes deliver for fans.\u201d He highlighted the connection between player wellbeing, better football performance and increased fan excitement, all \u201cvital elements that also fuel the <strong>growth of betting<\/strong> in the country\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership is a real win for Ghanaian football.
