The tournament, now officially called the <strong>SportPesa National Sevens Circui<\/strong>t, will run from <strong>July to September 2025<\/strong> across six competitive legs nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deal extension was officially unveiled at a launch event that was attended by rugby stakeholders and sports partners. <strong>Harriet Okatch<\/strong>, Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Chairperson, hailed the support, calling it timely. She said: \u201cThis circuit marks the beginning of our journey to qualify both our men and women teams for HSBC Tier 1 status next year. We are more confident than ever that Kenya will rise again on the global stage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From SportPesa&#8217;s financial package, <strong>Ksh 3 million<\/strong> (\u20ac20,400) will go to host clubs, <strong>Ksh 6 million<\/strong> (\u20ac40,800) for live streaming, <strong>Ksh 2.3 million<\/strong> (\u20ac15,640) will be allocated for prize money, <strong>Ksh 3 million <\/strong>(\u20ac20,400) will cover administration costs and <strong>Ksh 700,000<\/strong> (\u20ac4,760) will be used for official merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Willis Ojwang<\/strong>, Public Relations and Advertising Manager for SportsPesa, noted that the sponsorship underscores the company\u2019s dedication to supporting Kenya\u2019s sports industry and developing local talent. He said: \u201cOur commitment to the growth of local sports is unwavering. The National Sevens Circuit has helped identify new talent for three consecutive years, contributing to Kenya\u2019s recent successes, including winning the Africa 7s Championship and qualifying for the Olympics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SportPesa\u2019s local sports sponsorship cuts across its different operating countries in Africa.
