According to national statistics, moto\u2011taxi drivers face a high risk of severe head injuries due to low helmet use and limited road safety awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u00f4te d’Ivoire.- Betclic Group<\/strong> has joined forces with local authorities and community organisations in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire<\/strong> to promote a road safety awareness campaign targeting motorcycle taxi drivers<\/strong>, a group considered to be highly exposed to road hazards and accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign, which took place in the cities of Bouak\u00e9<\/strong>, Daloa<\/strong>, Korhogo<\/strong> and San Pedro<\/strong>, featured interactive workshops, street demonstrations and direct support to promote safer road practices. As part of the initiative, Betclic gave out helmets and reflective vests free of charge to moto-taxi drivers. The programme also provided training on helmet use, speed management, adherence to traffic signals, defensive riding and basic first aid for post-crash response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to national statistics, moto\u2011taxi drivers face a high risk of severe head injuries due to low helmet use and limited road safety awareness. The initiative was designed to address these challenges while complementing C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s broader road safety reforms, which include the introduction of an automated penalty system, weekly awareness campaigns and stricter enforcement measures aimed at reducing road deaths by 50 per cent by 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
