The Power Up project represents a major step forward in Betway Ghana’s commitment to making a positive difference in local communities. At the handover ceremony organised to commemorate the milestone, Kwabena Oppong Nkrumah<\/strong>, Betway Ghana’s Country Manager, emphasised the company’s commitment to providing real, lasting solutions beyond entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nkrumah noted that access to power and connectivity should be a necessity, not a privilege, and that this initiative is part of Betway’s broader vision to promote sustainable energy inclusion and create meaningful community-based impact across Ghana. He added that the Ballagonnor project was triggered by a Channel One TV report<\/strong> that exposed the community’s dire power situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The handover ceremony was attended by district chiefs, community members and dignitaries, who welcomed the development with excitement. Channel One TV was also on the ground to capture the transformation and interact with residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isaac Awuku Yibor<\/strong>, the MP for the area, praised Betway for bringing the initiative to the community, noting that it would end the practice of young children having to venture into neighbouring communities to access electricity for studying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yibor added that the solar units would greatly benefit residents who rely on mobile connectivity and digital tools for their daily activities.
