Johannesburg: South Africa is doubling down on responsible gambling action plans with the highly anticipated Responsible Gambling Summit 2025. Set to take place on 13 – 14 November at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, this industry-defining event will put the spotlight on smarter, safer gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hosted by the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation (SARGF) in partnership with key regulatory bodies, the biennial summit returns with even more firepower after its groundbreaking 2023 debut. This year, the expectation is all about action and not just talk. The event promises to be one where leaders, regulators and decision-makers strategise ways of creating an ecosystem that prioritises player protection and ethical gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mission is clear – table problem gambling, transform resolutions into action plans that are tracked and built upon, push for smarter laws and regulations and strengthen partnerships between operators and regulators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Backing this effort are regulatory heavyweights like the Eastern Cape Gambling Board, KwaZulu-Natal Economic Regulator Authority, Limpopo Gambling Board, Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board and the National Gambling Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will cover topics on gambling behaviour and addiction disorders, the challenges of responsible gambling implementation, the role of tech and innovation, the safeguarding of vulnerable communities and the global best practices to future-proof South Africa’s responsible gambling efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is open for thought leaders, innovators and industry experts who have something crucial to share. If you have a fresh perspective or cutting-edge research, submit a 250-word abstract by April 30, 2025 to info@responsiblegamblingsummit.org.za.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
