Locals handed over cash and sealed the <strong>deal with a handshake<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were no official bookmakers or printed slips. As soon as a winner crossed the finish line, bets were <strong>paid out on the spot<\/strong>. You have to forget all your problems or you will fall. I like fast horses. It makes me enjoy,\u201d he said, according to AFP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning jockeys earned up to <strong>LSL1,500 ($85)<\/strong>, a notable amount in a country where many live on low incomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Lesotho\u2019s mountains, horse racing is more than a sport.
