WINGO Game, which offers online casino games, claims to be licensed by the \u201cGaming Commission of Uganda\u201d, a non-existent body in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Uganda.- The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board<\/strong> (NLGRB) of Uganda has issued a public advisory against a gambling website operating without a valid licence in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the regulator, WINGO<\/strong> has no affiliation with licensed games, platforms or services regulated in Uganda. As such, it has warned the public to avoid visiting or interacting with the website.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NGLRB has also urged residents to verify website URLs before providing their personal information and to report suspicious sites.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WINGO Game<\/strong>, which offers online casino games, claims to be licensed by the \u201cGaming Commission of Uganda\u201d, a non-existent body in the country, since only the NGLRB is permitted to issue licences for lotteries, casinos, gaming and betting, under the Lotteries and Gaming Act, 2016<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operator is also not listed among the NLGRB\u2019s licensed companies for 2025<\/strong>. The regulator has a dedicated page on its website where it provides information on its list of approved gambling companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This notice comes as Uganda grapples with a surge in illegal online and physical gambling activities. While the NLGRB partners with internet service providers to block offshore gambling sites, it is working with the Ugandan Police Force<\/strong> to dismantle the operations of illegal gambling machines in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaborative effort has led to the seizure of thousands of illegal gaming machines and seen a marked increase in public awareness about the risks of unlicensed gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n
