The new appointments are part of wider efforts by the Gaming Board of Tanzania to strengthen regulatory oversight of its gaming market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Tanzania.- The Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT)<\/strong> has called for applications from qualified candidates to fill various vacancies across various departments, including inspections and compliance, communications and risk management.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the general conditions listed for consideration are that the individual must be a Tanzanian citizen and have an up-to-date CV with reliable references.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the inspection and compliance manager position, interested applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field<\/strong> like gaming, economics or ICT and a minimum of eight years working experience<\/strong>, with at least some of that time spent in a senior role.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful candidate will lead the inspection and compliance team, develop and implement effective compliance strategies, and ensure that gaming operators adhere to regulatory requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another advertised position is a risk management officer, who will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks within the organisation and developing and implementing risk management policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other vacancies include communication officer and accountant roles. The former requires the candidate to prepare and plan strategies for GBT’s communication services, handle media inquiries and ensure effective internal and external communication. The accountant will work with the supervisor to manage financial records, prepare budgets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new appointments indicate the GBT’s efforts to strengthen the regulatory oversight of its gaming market, which has continued to experience rapid growth. The move adds to a recent legal research initiative<\/a> by the Law Reform Commission to review the country’s regulatory frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n
