It\u2019s sparking a bigger movement across Africa. With a young, digitally plugged-in crowd<\/strong> and a growing appetite for competition, Egypt is confidently leading the continent\u2019s push into the global gaming spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Egypt\u2019s engagement numbers point to a loyal, hungry and fast-growing gaming community<\/strong>. Esports is gaining momentum, too, with 54.6 per cent of players in the region taking part as viewers, players or competitors. \u201cWomen now make up more than 37 per cent of gamers, reflecting a more inclusive and diverse scene,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gaming is booming across the wider MENA region. By the end of 2024, the gamer count hit 72 million, and it is on track to level up to 84.3 million by 2029<\/strong>.
