Preparation is well underway with the squads involved in finalising rosters, training camps and crafting game plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>2025 FIBA Women\u2019s AfroBasket<\/strong> extravaganza isn\u2019t just a match but an all-important rehearsal for teams aiming to make waves at the Women\u2019s Basketball World Cup. FIBA, the International Basketball Federation (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Basketball), said that Africa plays a huge role in the global event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe team that wins the 2025 FIBA Women\u2019s AfroBasket will qualify directly for the FIBA Women\u2019s <strong>Basketball World Cup 2026<\/strong>. They will also participate in the FIBA Women&#8217;s World Cup Qualifying Tournaments, in March 2026, along with the teams that finish second, third and fourth in the final standings,\u201d said FIBA in a statement on its official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Africa\u2019s four spots and Nigeria\u2019s quest for history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FIBA said Africa will have a total of<strong> four representatives<\/strong> in the FIBA Women\u2019s World Cup qualifying tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nigeria is set to be a top contender due to its past wins, along with host city C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire and other competing countries Uganda, Cameroon, Egypt, Rwanda, Guinea, Mali, Angola, Senegal, South Sudan and Mozambique, all committed to providing action-packed performances<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nigeria<\/strong> is chasing a fifth straight title after dominating the last four women\u2019s tournaments without losing a single game.
