Kenya.- Blending passion with pixels, Kenya<\/strong> is stepping onto a new kind of pitch as football goes phygital<\/strong>. This marks a major milestone for the country as it joins the global conversation in a futuristic sport that fuses physical football with immersive virtual gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phygital Contenders Football Tournament<\/strong> takes place from July 25 to 29 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and Kenya\u2019s team is gearing up to make its global debut, ready to prove they\u2019ve got the skills both on the pitch and in the pixels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this bold new format, players must demonstrate their talents on the ground and on the screen, while the Kenya Esports Federation<\/strong> said Team Kenya is ready to rise to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPhygital is a wonderful concept. It has gained a lot of traction among Kenyan youth. We are excited to be making our debut on the global stage. I have no doubt that our boys will make us proud,\u201d said Federation president Rony Lusigi, according to Standard media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament brings together 24 of the world\u2019s best teams<\/strong> including top ranked sides like defending champions Team Joga from the USA and Venezuela\u2019s standout LPT. At stake is more than just bragging rights as teams are battling for qualification to the Games of the Future 2025, set to take place this December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defining moment for Phygital sport unfolds<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Phygital contenders tournament is the final qualifier in a calendar that included events like Phygital Origins<\/strong> and Phygital Rivals, <\/strong>which helped shape the current rankings, according to Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis tournament is the defining moment of our season long qualifiers. It will determine the elite teams who will showcase the best of Phygital sport at the Games of the Future 2025,\u201d said Hatt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by ASPIRE in collaboration with Ethara and Phygital International<\/strong>, the tournament is helping shape the future of sport by blending technology with tradition. It is a showcase of next-generation athleticism and a glimpse into what competitive gaming and sports may look like in years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
