C\u00f4te d’Ivoire.- On June 23-25<\/strong>, Abidjan<\/strong> hosted a gathering of directors general of African lotteries and their delegations for a week of knowledge sharing, training and strategic planning. The three-day conference<\/strong> was organised by the African Lotteries Association (ALA)<\/strong> and focused on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the event was a seminar held at the Azala\u00ef Hotel in Marcory<\/strong> on June 24<\/strong>, where speakers examined AI’s growing impact on gaming and lotteries, and measures to checkmate increasing cyber threats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar commenced with opening remarks by Dramane Coulibaly<\/strong>, president of ALA and director general of LONACI<\/strong>, who was ably represented by Doumbia Fassery<\/strong>, ALA vice president and director general of PMU Mali<\/strong>. In his address, Fassery welcomed the delegates and stressed the importance of combining technological advancements with stringent security measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other ALA executives, including Abdoulkarim Ouattara<\/strong>, deputy director general of LONACI, and members of the ALA Board of Directors, were also well-represented at the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session gave industry leaders across Africa a platform to share information on leveraging innovation, optimising operations and managing risk in the evolving digital landscape.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event wrapped up with the ALA’s Annual General Meeting<\/strong> on June 25<\/strong>, where members reviewed key achievements, adopted new resolutions and strengthened inter-member collaboration to drive the association’s vision across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n
