Kenya.- betPawa<\/strong> parent company pawaTech<\/strong> has been named the Responsible Gaming Company of the Year<\/strong> at the Gaming Tech Summit<\/strong> held in Nairobi<\/strong> in June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award recognises pawaTech’s commitment to responsible gaming across its operating markets. The operator’s responsible gaming framework includes self-exclusion options, intelligent monitoring and personalised support from trained professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increasing popularity of online gaming in Africa shines a spotlight on key issues like sustainability, player protection and mental well-being. pawaTech says the answer lies in prioritising people, protecting the vulnerable and developing systems that build trust and support rather than just driving profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the speakers at the event included Bashir Are<\/strong>, the CEO of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Peter Kesitilwe<\/strong>, CEO Gambling Authority of Botswana and John Erastus<\/strong>, acting CEO of Namibia.<\/p>\n\n\n
