C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.- Africa\u2019s lottery power players touched down in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire this week for a high-stakes summit with big ambitions. The two-day gathering in Abidjan by the Association of African Lotteries (ALA)<\/strong> brought together directors-general and key delegates from far and wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the opening on Tuesday, June 24, it began with a seminar themed \u201cArtificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity\u201d.<\/strong> The session sparked debate on how lotteries can stay smart, safe and ahead of the curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doumbia Fassery,<\/strong> Vice President of ALA, delivered the welcome address on behalf of ALA President Dramane Coulibaly, who also heads C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s national lottery, LONACI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdoulkarim Ouattara<\/strong>, LONACI\u2019s Deputy Director General, rubbed shoulders with the ALA executive heavyweights throughout the discussions. By Wednesday, June 25, the curtain fell on the event with the ALA\u2019s annual general meeting, a moment for members to take stock, plot fresh ambitions and tighten their shared game plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members reviewed the past year, endorsed new resolutions and doubled down on collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
