The session also covered the reasons for state oversight, including protecting public revenue, safeguarding minors and vulnerable players, preventing gambling-related harm, resolving disputes between operators and customers, and combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other illicit financial flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bobwa also addressed the challenges posed by sports betting, digital gambling platforms, mobile payments, and remote operators. He noted that these developments are testing existing regulatory arrangements and increasing the need for effective monitoring of transactions and gambling operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The student engagement comes as the government works to establish a more comprehensive legal framework for the country\u2019s gambling sector. The CSJA was established within the Ministry of Finance by ministerial decree on <strong>January 29, 2026<\/strong>, to oversee the reform, monitor gambling activities, and support public revenue collection.
