Ghana.- The Ghana Football Association (GFA)<\/strong> has hailed BetPawa’s Locker Room Bonus (LRB)<\/strong> as a game changer that has positively influenced club football and the national team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the GFA, the initiative is transforming the face of professional football and promoting player welfare in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BetPawa debuted the LRB in the West African country in 2022<\/strong> in partnership with the GFA. The program ensures footballers receive extra financial incentives beyond their standard match fees. The bonus is paid instantly to players’ mobile wallets right after a match win and before they leave the stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, BetPawa increased the match win bonus from GH\u00a2150<\/strong> (\u20ac12.78) to GH\u00a2400<\/strong> (\u20ac34.07). Since its launch, the initiative has been instrumental in driving player motivation, boosting competitiveness and improving overall performance on the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Locker Room Bonus has undergone significant growth, expanding from one competition in 2022<\/strong> to six in 2023<\/strong>, and now more than ten<\/strong> in football and basketball across countries such as Uganda<\/strong>, Kenya<\/a>, Malawi<\/a> and Tanzania<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview earlier this year, Ntoudi Mouyelo<\/strong>, managing director of Mchezo<\/strong>, the parent company of BetPawa, underscored the significant positive change driven by the initiative. He said: “The idea behind the Locker Room Bonus is to recognise the effort and hard work of those making our lives shine when we watch games.”<\/p>\n\n\n
