Mauritius.- Mauritius\u2019 Gambling Regulatory Authority<\/strong> (GRA) and Police des Jeux, a specialised unit of the Mauritius Police Force with gambling inspection and investigation powers, were present as Lottotech staged a live lottery draw at La City Mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event celebrated International Lottery Day<\/strong>, which took place on August 27, with the draw taking place \u201cunder the watchful eye of GRA and Police des Jeux representatives\u201d, according to a LinkedIn post by Mirasi Group, which operates La City Mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lottotech<\/strong> runs the Mauritius National Lottery under a licence from the GRA. The authority regulates gambling in the country, with its inspectors<\/strong> also supervising lottery draws.<\/p>\n\n\n

The event also featured a Wingo game<\/strong> hosted by Radio Plus, with 18 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) taking part in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atelier Mo\u2019zar won a Rs50,000 (US$1,084) prize, according to Mirasi Group. Radio Plus hosted interactive quizzes<\/strong> during the event, while presenter Ben Javed kept proceedings moving throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirasi Group said the event brought together Lottotech representatives, officials<\/strong> and members of the participating NGOs.
