LONAGUI says the shift towards digital gambling will require stronger online platforms, tighter cybersecurity and greater national control over technology and financial flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Guinea.- Guinea\u2019s National Lottery (LONAGUI) has outlined three priorities<\/strong> for its digital transformation: modernising its offering, strengthening cybersecurity and maintaining national control over technology and financial flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LONAGUI said West Africa was experiencing an \u201cunprecedented digital revolution<\/strong>\u201d, driven by the widespread use of smartphones and Mobile Money. It said the gambling and sports betting industry<\/strong> was also being transformed, with today\u2019s gambler demanding speed, accessibility and a seamless user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDigital technology is a formidable vector of innovation<\/strong>, provided that it is put at the service of a controlled and highly secure environment,\u201d said LONAGUI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lottery said the first priority was the modernisation of its offering, including high-performance online platforms<\/strong> such as LonaguiBet and virtual games adapted to international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second was cybersecurity, with LONAGUI highlighting the protection of personal data<\/strong> and the security of users\u2019 financial transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lottery\u2019s third priority was digital sovereignty. It said maintaining control of technologies and financial flows<\/strong> at national level was important \u201cto feed the Guinean economy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The digitalisation strategy comes as LONAGUI continues to highlight its contribution to Guinea\u2019s wider economy. The lottery\u2019s website lists 8,000 points of sale<\/a>, 20 agencies and 43 commercial partners, supporting 237 direct jobs and 9,000 indirect jobs through its activities. LONAGUI has also reported more than 88 socio-cultural projects supported since January 2023, with more than GNF45bn (US$5.1m) committed to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n
