Partnering with the <strong>Mental Health Authority<\/strong>, the commission also used the initiative to commemorate <strong>Purple Month<\/strong>, a global month-long celebration of mental health awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the campaign, the regulator aims to educate Ghanaians about the risks of gaming addiction and its effects on individuals and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the beginning of the month, the commission has been hosting various activities to promote healthy gaming habits among players, operators and the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign&#8217;s highlight was a <strong>webinar<\/strong> held on <strong>May 15, 2025,<\/strong> during which industry professionals shared their valuable insights. Some of the speakers included Ag. Gaming Commissioner <strong>Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo<\/strong>, <strong>Dr. Maame Ekua Balden<\/strong>, a psychiatrist from <strong>Pantang Hospital<\/strong>, <strong>Dr. Rosalind Baker-Frampton<\/strong>, clinical director at <strong>Gordon Moody<\/strong>, and <strong>Owusu Frederick<\/strong>, executive secretary of the <strong>Gaming Operators Association of Ghana <\/strong>(GOAG).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the session, experts engaged in insightful discussions on gaming addiction, mental health issues and effective strategies for promoting responsible gaming.
