The betting and draw-games operator becomes an official FEMAFOOT partner as it backs football development, youth and women\u2019s football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Mali.- National horse-racing betting and draw-games operator PMU Mali <\/strong>has become an official partner of the Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT), committing an annual contribution of FCFA500m (US$884,000) to the development of Malian football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The partnership was signed on September 1 at PMU Mali\u2019s headquarters in Bamako by PMU Mali Director General Fassery Doumbia and FEMAFOOT president Mahazou dit Baba Cisset. FEMAFOOT described the agreement as an \u201cunprecedented\u201d partnership and said PMU Mali had become a major partner<\/strong> of Malian football, according to a press release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n FEMAFOOT said the contribution will support the development and modernisation<\/strong> of Malian football, with PMU Mali becoming an official partner of the federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Doumbia said: \u201cThis partnership, materialised by an annual contribution<\/strong> of 500 million CFA francs, is fully in line with our corporate social responsibility approach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beyond the visibility mechanisms attached to the partnership, Doumbia said PMU Mali would support gender equality<\/strong> through women\u2019s football, youth development and partnership governance focused on transparency and the creation of shared value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cisset said the agreement would support the wider football community<\/strong>, including young people, clubs, educators, referees and managers. \u201cBy agreeing to support the Malian Football Federation, you are supporting thousands of young people, clubs, educators, referees, managers and all those who bring our football to life on a daily basis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said the partnership represented an investment in a national passion, as well as in Malian youth and the country\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FEMAFOOT describes PMU Mali as the national leader in horse-racing betting<\/strong> and draw-games, and lists the company as an official partner of the federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The federation said the partnership reflects PMU Mali\u2019s commitment to the socio-economic development of Malian youth and to the development of national football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The annual contribution will support the development and modernisation<\/strong> of Malian football, while PMU Mali\u2019s commitments under the partnership include support for women\u2019s football, youth development and transparent partnership governance.<\/p>\n\n\n
