South Africa.- The North West Gambling Board (NWGB) <\/strong>has secured a clean audit for the 2025\/2026 financial year<\/strong>, marking its second consecutive year with the highest audit outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The provincial gambling regulator announced the result on September 1, attributing it to teamwork, disciplined management and a continued focus on governance and accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A clean audit is the highest outcome an organisation can receive from the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA<\/strong>). It means an entity has received an unqualified audit opinion with no findings. For a public institution, this means its financial statements are accurate, its performance information is reliable, and it has complied with the relevant legislation governing its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The NWGB also achieved a clean audit for the 2024\/2025 financial year, giving the Board two successive years with the same outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acting CEO Boitumelo Qalinge<\/strong> credited the Board\u2019s employees for the result, citing their dedication, professionalism and integrity. He said the NWGB would build on the result by maintaining its focus on performance and governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Qalinge said: \u201cLet\u2019s use this momentum to keep raising the bar and delivering for the people of the North West.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The result comes as the NWGB continues its regulatory work across the province.
