CVCV launched the Street Vendor in Praia on August 12, with representatives and agents from S\u00e3o Vicente also participating by videoconference. The initiative, announced in a press release, forms part of CVCV\u2019s strategy to diversify the distribution channels of its Social Games and strengthen the mobilisation of resources<\/strong> for humanitarian and social causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the Administrator of the Gaming Department, Jos\u00e9 Carlos Cunha, the initiative is intended to create a stronger commercial network<\/strong> that is better prepared to respond to new market demands, while creating opportunities for agents and reinforcing the contribution of the Games to the social mission of the Red Cross of Cape Verde. He said: “It is with this determination that we move forward. Today we take another step. Tomorrow we will continue to build.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the ceremony, CVCV president Arlindo de Carvalho highlighted the importance of bringing the Games closer to populations<\/strong> living outside the main urban centres. He said the new model would help overcome limitations associated with the distance of branches by taking the service directly into communities. De Carvalho said: “We want to go to the streams, we want to go to the mountains, we want to be in the communities,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new system will be operated by duly identified and accredited sellers equipped with their own tablets and printers, allowing bets to be placed in a more practical and decentralised way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each seller will be associated with a CVCV Games agency within their area of jurisdiction. The number of sellers per agency will be determined according to the needs and characteristics of each location, with their distribution ensured by agents under the monitoring and supervision of the Gaming Department of the Red Cross of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To support implementation of the new model, CVCV carried out preparatory work with agents and partners, including telecommunications companies<\/strong>, payment systems and commercial establishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Security measures have also been introduced. The equipment used by vendors has security mechanisms integrated by the Red Cross itself, while the printers were developed specifically to meet the requirements of the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CVCV currently has more than 100 agencies<\/strong> and there is demand for the opening of new points of sale.
