The branches were selected based on <strong>transaction volumes<\/strong> and customer footfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Customers can purchase Lotto, PowerBall, PowerBall Xtra and Daily Lotto at participating branches, with terminals accepting both cash and electronic payments. Sizekhaya recently oversaw the first <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/south-africa-records-first-ever-powerball-xtra-jackpot-cascade-creating-three-r45-7m-us2-8m-winners-sizekhaya-announces\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/south-africa-records-first-ever-powerball-xtra-jackpot-cascade-creating-three-r45-7m-us2-8m-winners-sizekhaya-announces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PowerBall Xtra jackpot cascade<\/a> in South African National Lottery history, creating three winners of R45.7m (US$2.8m) each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sizekhaya CEO Lebogang Ndadana said the partnership would make the National Lottery more accessible by giving customers <strong>additional locations<\/strong> to purchase tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe National Lottery belongs to the people of South Africa, so we want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for people to participate, wherever they live,\u201d said Ndadana. \u201cThe Post Office has a footprint that reaches communities across the country, and this partnership gives people even more places to buy their National Lottery tickets as part of their everyday lives. We\u2019re delighted to be working with SAPO and look forward to growing the partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post Office expands lottery role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acting CEO of SAPO Fathima Gany said the partnership supports the Post Office\u2019s strategy. \u201cThe partnership with Sizekhaya supports our strategy to diversify revenue while expanding the range of services available through our branch network. It strengthens our value proposition by providing customers with greater convenience and more reasons to visit their local Post Office.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participating branches will also be able to pay National Lottery <strong>winnings<\/strong> of up to R2,000 (US$124). Gany said the rollout is the first phase of the partnership, with further expansion planned following an assessment of the initial branches\u2019 performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SAPO and Sizekhaya are also engaging with a leading <strong>commercial bank<\/strong> to facilitate the payment of higher-value winnings through selected Post Office branches in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 60 branches are spread across all nine South African provinces, extending the National Lottery\u2019s retail reach across the country.
