Tanzania.- Kingbet Tanzania has distributed more than 400 football jerseys to over 15 universities, sports academies and community teams across the country as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.

The jerseys were handed over on August 14 in a move the betting operator described as an investment in grassroots and university-level football.

According to Kingbet, the initiative is aimed at helping young players access sports equipment while creating opportunities to develop their football skills, participate in organised competitions and pursue their sporting ambitions.

The operator added that the jersey distribution aligns with its longer-term CSR activities in Tanzania and its efforts to contribute to sports development within the communities where it operates.

The jerseys, which feature Kingbet’s logo on the front, also extend the operator’s visibility among football communities across Tanzania, particularly at the grassroots level.

The initiative comes as betting operators in African markets continue to use CSR programmes to establish links with communities outside their core commercial activities. For Kingbet, football provides a particularly relevant platform in Tanzania given the sport’s established grassroots presence and popularity among sports betting customers.

Kingbet said the latest donation was made possible through the involvement of the participating universities, academies, community teams and other partners.
