The meeting took place on Tuesday, August 11, as part of the regulator\u2019s \u201cISJ in Dialogue\u201d initiative<\/strong>, which aims to strengthen cooperation and communication between the ISJ and gaming operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The delegation was led by Dr Nerethz Tati, ISJ managing director, and was received by Bantu Bet’s chairman of the board of directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Discussions covered several regulatory priorities, including responsible gaming, player protection and compliance with Angola\u2019s legal and regulatory framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ISJ called for stronger Know Your Customer (KYC) validation rules to improve compliance and ensure operators properly identify their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The regulator and Bantu Bet also discussed measures to combat illegal gambling websites, including the wider dissemination of notices about unauthorised platforms and their deactivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Advertising compliance was another issue raised during the meeting. The ISJ highlighted the need for billboard managers and advertising companies to receive and communicate the required distancing rules and mandatory messages for gaming advertisements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The regulator also recommended standardising the visual identity of authorised gaming mediators to help consumers and regulators distinguish approved representatives from unauthorised entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, the ISJ proposed developing a joint policy with Municipal Administrations to validate locations proposed for new gaming points of sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The institute said the initiative reinforces its commitment to regulatory compliance and player protection while supporting the development of a sustainable and regulated gaming market in Angola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/07\/ISJ-1-1-300x200.jpg\")
