Gaming law expert Wendy Rosenberg will address AI\u2019s regulatory challenges and opportunities as Africa\u2019s gaming regulators gather in Mozambique in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Mozambique.- Artificial intelligence<\/strong> is set to feature prominently in Africa\u2019s gambling regulation debate, with leading gaming law practitioner Wendy Rosenberg set to examine the regulatory challenges and opportunities presented by AI at the Gaming Regulators Africa Forum<\/strong> (GRAF) Conference 2026 in Mozambique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosenberg, head of the Digital Media & Electronic Communications Practice Area at Werksmans Attorneys, will present \u201cArtificial Intelligence in Gambling: Regulatory Challenges and Opportunities\u201d at the conference, which takes place from September 14-17. GRAF said she has more than 23 years of experience advising on technology, digital media, electronic communications<\/strong> and gaming law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maputo was recently announced as the venue for the 2026 GRAF Conference<\/a>, which will bring together gaming regulators and industry stakeholders from across Africa for the September event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GRAF said Rosenberg\u2019s session will examine the opportunities and regulatory challenges<\/strong> presented by AI, including its impact on operators, regulators and punter protection. Drawing on international best practice and African regulatory realities, she will share practical insights into developing effective and proportionate regulatory responses.<\/p>\n\n\n

GRAF describes Rosenberg as one of Africa\u2019s leading practitioners in her field. She has been consistently ranked Band 1 for Media & Broadcasting by Chambers Global and was honoured as Best Woman Lawyer in Technology at the Women in Law (WOZA) Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her appearance adds an AI-focused discussion to the wider GRAF programme, which is designed to bring together regulators, policymakers and industry leaders from across Africa to exchange ideas, share best practices and shape the future of gaming regulation <\/strong>on the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
