NLB seeks new leadership for its CEO\/Fund Administrator role as it oversees Kenya’s National Lottery and National Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Kenya.- Kenya’s National Lottery Board<\/strong> (NLB) has re-advertised its Chief Executive Officer\/Fund Administrator position, with the successful candidate set to provide strategic leadership for the Board and its National Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grade NLB 1 position carries a three-year contract, renewable once, and reports to the Board. Applications must be received by August 24, 2026. The role was previously advertised in May, and applicants from the earlier recruitment are required to reapply, according to the NLB’s vacancy re-advertisement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NLB is a State Corporation established under Section 4 of the National Lottery Act, 2023<\/strong>, with a mandate to oversee, regulate and ensure the integrity, transparency and accountability of the National Lottery in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO\/Fund Administrator will provide strategic leadership and policy direction, oversee the NLB’s day-to-day operations, administer the National Lottery Fund and serve as the Board’s Accounting Officer. The role also covers the regulation, supervision <\/strong>and oversight of National Lottery operations and the allocation and disbursement of proceeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO will also ensure revenues are equitably distributed to support good causes across Kenya, in line with the National Lottery Act, Kenya Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n

The vacancy comes as the NLB continues to strengthen its management structure. Dr Martin Talian is serving as acting CEO and is responsible for operationalising the Board’s mandate, institutional setup and procurement of the National Lottery operator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates must be Kenyan citizens, hold a degree from a university recognised in Kenya, have at least 10 years’ senior-management experience<\/strong> in a public or private institution and satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO will also coordinate budgets and financial reports, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and provide strategic leadership to both the NLB and National Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The appointment therefore goes beyond a conventional executive vacancy, with the successful candidate taking responsibility for the strategic direction, operations and financial administration of the National Lottery Board and Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
