NBFIRA visited the Gambling Authority to benchmark its ISO 9001-certified quality management framework, highlighting collaboration to strengthen quality management and service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Botswana.- Botswana’s Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) visited the Gambling Authority to benchmark its ISO 9001-certified quality management system and exchange best practices in quality management<\/strong> and service delivery.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benchmarking visit follows the Gambling Authority’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, awarded by the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) in 2025. NBFIRA sought to gain insight into the implementation and maintenance of the Authority’s certified quality management system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the Gambling Authority shared its quality management practices, including process documentation, internal audits<\/strong>, corrective actions, management reviews and continual improvement.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Authority, the engagement<\/strong> gave both organisations an opportunity to exchange insights and collaborate on strengthening quality service delivery. The Gambling Authority said: “As a regulator, the Authority is dedicated to being a catalyst for excellence in service delivery and is proud to walk this journey alongside NBFIRA.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NBFIRA regulates Botswana’s non-bank financial sector, including insurance, pensions, capital markets, asset managers and non-bank lenders. Both authorities share responsibilities relating to governance, compliance, risk management and consumer protection.\u00a0<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
